Hollyoaks' Jessica Fox in A+E dash after wine bottle injury
Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox tipped over whilst holding a wine bottle, and it smashed.
Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox was rushed to hospital after a wine bottle injury left her in agony.
The 42-year-old actress - who plays Nancy Hayton in the Channel 4 soap - addressed her absence from TikTok in a video shared to the social media platform on Tuesday (07.04.26) and said “it all went to s***".
She also opened up about her and three-year-old son River's chest infection battles, Jessica's sinus infection - which left her crying in pain after smiling - and got candid about being a "solo parent" amid her husband, musician Nicholas Willes, being away for long periods.
And it was all topped off with the wine bottle accident when the star returned to the Hollyoaks set following her sinus infection.
Jessica recalled: "During a scene, I tripped holding a wine bottle, and I smashed it on my hand."
The wounds on her left pinky and ring fingers have been bandaged up, and she added: "This is a week later, and it was one of those things.
"You know when it's like the straw that broke the camel’s back? I was like, 'Now what?'
"I had to go to A+E - well, walk-in centre, and then they sent me to A+E - and the service, I have to say, was absolutely phenomenal, but it did mean I needed to have some stitches in this hand."
Jessica is "starting to feel better", but she branded solo parenting one handed as a "f****** farce".
She added: "I'm very nervous about when I have to take these off in a couple of days because it still stings quite a lot.
"And then I literally squeezed it for some unknown reason, and it was like a white hot pain went through my entire body."
Jessica's fans rushed to the post's comments section to empathise with the soap star amid the difficult time in her life.
One supporter penned: "You're a hero doing all that on your own and keeping a sense of humour with it!"
A second follower typed: "Jess u are some woman u have been through a lot and ur definitely solo parenting x.
"Ur clearly in survival mode but keep going xxx (sic)."
And a third fan wrote: "You're an absolute superhero Jess! You've got this. I admire you."
