Freddy Brazier and ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn welcome baby daughter
Freddy Brazier has become a father for the first time after his ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn gave birth to a baby girl.
Freddy Brazier and his ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn have welcomed a baby daughter.
The former couple took to social media to reveal their joyful news with a family photo and revealed that the little girl's name pays homage to Freddy's late mother Jade Goody.
A black and white photo shared on Holly's Instagram Story features the pair on a hospital bed with their daughter along with the caption: "Isla Jade Brazier."
Freddy was only four years old when his mother passed away from cervical cancer in 2009 and Holly had detailed how they had planned to pay tribute to the Big Brother star with the tot's name.
She told The Sun newspaper earlier this year: “I’m so excited to be having a baby girl.
“We like the idea of Jade as a middle name. I told Freddy I would happily call the baby Jade as a first name if that’s what he wanted.
“But I think he felt it might come with too much expectation, pressure and comparisons.
“I love Isla as a first name and we think it’d be nice to honour Jade’s memory with a middle name. Freddy and I are pleased we’re having a girl, he’s been to scans with me.”
Holly also praised Freddy’s father Jeff Brazier for helping them prepare to become parents.
She said: "Freddy and I spent time at Jeff’s before Christmas and he sat us down to prepare for when the baby arrives.
"Jeff is a big help to us and is very generous.”
Freddy, 21, and Holly split in November but the pair have remained civil for the sake of their unborn baby.
She said: "I am hoping we can stay as civil as possible and he has apologised to my mum for being mean to me, but it will take some time."
Meanwhile, Freddy previously admitted he is still struggling to process Jade’s death because he was too young to comprehend what was happening at the time.
The former Celebrity Race Across the World contestant told Loaded magazine: "I'm still processing it now, to be honest.
"I only really started processing it in my late teens because when she passed, I was obviously too young."
Freddy admitted he used to "shut down" conversations about his mother that people were having with him.
He added: "I feel that as much as she was spoken about in every household I was in, I never used to think about it.
"I'd always just shut down if someone was like, 'Oh, your mum was lovely,' or 'I watched your mum,' or whatever.
"I'd just be like, 'Oh yeah, nice, alright,' and then I'd just walk off.”
