This Morning star Michelle Elman has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery - months after having previously gone under the knife.

The ITV daytime show's life coach revealed she needed to have her 19th surgery in a health update post shared to Instagram Stories on Wednesday (18.02.26).

Michelle - who underwent a life-saving operation earlier in the year - penned over a shot of her lying in a hospital bed: "Ended up needing emergency surgery. So much for the Chinese New Year being a fresh start.

"Had surgery on first day of the year AND Chinese new year (sic)."

Michelle, 32, did not detail what surgery she underwent and why she needed it.

In a second slide, the TV star displayed her latest scar.

She typed over the photo: "Got two scars on my neck and collarbone."

After Michelle woke up from the operation, she immediately asked the medical staff if her tattoo was still intact.

The author joked: "Priorities."

In another upload to Instagram Stories, Michelle wrote that "19 surgeries is enough for a lifetime", alongside an image of a bracelet made by her "gorgeous nephew", which read: "Get Better."

In her final story, Michelle shared that she is "currently being monitored one-on-one with a nurse sat in my room at all times".

Last month, the media personality detailed her previous 18 surgeries.

In a social media post, she shared at the time: "Now had a total of 18 surgeries, three brain surgeries and an abdominal one too.

"Hydrocephalus is the thing that is responsible for the majority of my surgeries, and I wish it would get more attention because it needs the awareness."

"I still don’t think my valve is on the right setting and that’s going to take months to figure out, but most of the day I’m no longer in pain and that’s a welcome break from the last 3 months."

According to the National Health Service (NHS), hydrocephalus "is a build-up of fluid in the brain. The excess fluid puts pressure on the brain, which can damage it. If left untreated, hydrocephalus can be fatal".

Symptoms include headache, vomiting, blurred vision, and difficulty walking.

In November 2025, Michelle shared on social media that she needed to have brain surgery after a cyst was found, and that a metal magnet implanted in her brain - which controls the flow of the fluid - needed to be replaced.
