Rebekah Vardy has promised that her and husband Jamie’s new fly-on-the-wall TV series is full of “hair-raising moments”.

The ITV programme will document the 43-year-old model and 38-year-old footballer spouse’s move to Italy, where Jamie has signed for US Cremonese, alongside their children Megan, 20, Taylor, 15, Sofia, 14, Finley, eight, and six-year-old Olivia.

The Vardys is set to premiere on 2 June, and Rebekah has dropped some hints about what viewers can expect from the show.

Asked what she’s struggled most with about moving to Italy, the WAG replied: “Forgetting which side of the road I was meant to be driving on. There were definitely a few hair-raising moments!”

Putting the humour to one side, Rebekah added: “This is us like you have never seen us before... I think viewers will be surprised by how grounded and normal a lot of our day-to-day life actually is.

“It's not glamorous, it's just authentic. I think it shows behind the football, the public attention and the big move, we're still just a family trying to navigate change together. Get to know the real us. That’s it."

Insisting that there’s nothing staged about the show, Rebekah said she “wouldn’t have it any other way.

She added: “The point was to be open and authentic about what this period of change looks like for our family.

“Moving on from such a big chapter in our lives affects everyone emotionally and documenting that honestly felt important.”

As for what she and her nearest and dearest have learned from the move, and the show, Rebekah said: ‘When you completely step out of your comfort zone and rebuild your life somewhere new, it forces you to slow down and really assess what matters most."

The tagline for the ITV show states that “Wagatha Christie” is firmly “in the rear-view mirror”, viewers will still undoubtedly be keen for any tidbits Rebekah will potentially drop about her legal battle with fellow WAG Coleen Rooney.

The pair were involved in a high-profile libel case in 2022 - when Coleen wrote on Twitter in 2019 that Rebekah’s Instagram account was leaking posts from Coleen’s private account to The Sun newspaper, Rebekah sued her for libel in 2020.
