Britain’s Got Talent returning this month, ITV announces
Britain's Got Talent is set to return to the box for its 19th series on 21 February 2026.
Britain’s Got Talent is to return on 21 February 2026.
The ITV competition show will be making its way back onto the box next week (21.02.26) at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX for its 19th series.
Presenters Ant and Dec are due to lead the show through a new round of auditions from showbiz hopefuls looking to win the £250,000 cash prize and the chance to take to the stage at the Royal Variety Performance.
Britain’s Got Talent will see the return of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, KSI and guest judge Stacey Solomon - who covered for Simon when the business mogul missed the first day of filming.
KSI will be stepping up to become a full-time judge after previously taking Bruno Tonioli’s place on a part-time basis.
Following the programme, Britain’s Got Talent: Unseen will air on ITVX and ITV2 on Sundays.
Britain’s Got Talent has become renowned for its impressive and jaw-dropping performers, and Bruno has previously admitted he feared for Simon’s life during a particularly shocking audition.
During an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “The great thing about this show is that you go from laughing to crying to being completely horrified.
“One act had big hammers and axes! They were smashing things. That got me very worried, I wanted to stop it.
“This year we’ve seen some amazing acts that are absolutely astonishing on every level.
“Some are unbelievably grotesque, some are unbelievably inspiring.
He quipped: “No judges got hurt, thank God! We’re all still in one piece.”
As for Simon himself, he had a “near death” experience when a blindfolded man started smashing watermelons with a mallet while he was lying down during a Britain’s Got Talent audition.
He recalled: “You know the feeling when you kind of think, somebody doesn't want you on the show anymore? It was that.
“It was the closest, genuinely, where I'm thinking they actually want to kill me.
“And I swear to God that's how I felt. Because this guy got really nervous and he'd slipped and he was smashing these watermelons.
“Even with St. John's ambulance, I don't know what they would have done in the wings. It was so precarious because it was melon they were smashing. So the water was everywhere.
“So any kind of safety that there must have been on that stage was out the window. It was horrific.”
