Tyler West admits struggle with body confidence

Tyler West struggles with body confidence.
The Kiss FM radio presenter judged himself against other men for years before the comparison turned into an understanding of the personal benefits fitness brought him.
Tyler, 29, explained in the new issue of Heat magazine: "I've struggled with body confidence since I was young. Men compare themselves so easily.
"You don't know how people got to that shape behind the scenes. Because I trained for so long, it stopped being about comparison and became about learning nutrition, training, and seeing what actually helped me."
Tyler's 25-year-old fiancee, former EastEnders star Molly Rainford, related to his struggle with comparing himself to others.
Molly - who met Tyler when they did Strictly Come Dancing in 2022 - admitted: "I've grown up in the showbiz industry from about 11 with people commenting on my looks.
"You do develop a thick skin, but comparison is always there."
The star - who got engaged to Tyler after he popped the question during a romantic getaway to Mykonos, Greece, in August 2025 - added: "Fitness gives you a sense of achievement.
"Even if nothing else goes right that day, getting to the gym or doing a 10k feels like self-care."
Fitness played a key part in Tyler's self-care journey.
He explained: "When I was 14, I witnessed something traumatic and ended up indoors for about two years.
"Training became my escape. It started as, 'If I'm ever in danger, I need to protect myself.' Then I realised how good it was for my mental health.
"It genuinely became my saviour growing up."
The smitten pair - who are in no rush to get married - insist they are not getting fit just for their big day.
Molly said: "I like to see fitness as a lifestyle, not a wedding fix. I don't want to train really hard just for the wedding and then stop."
Tyler agreed and added: "We'll keep the routine going on our honeymoon with chilled morning workouts, too.
"Nothing intense, just something to keep us feeling good."
