The Traitors winner Rachel Duffy's mum has died.

Rachel - who planned to spend her £47,875 prize money on her late loved one - took to Instagram on Tuesday (27.01.26) to announce the devastating news about Anne, 70, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in her 40s, and later dementia.

The star - who, with fellow Traitor, cyber security consultant Stephen Libby, 32, split the £95,750 prize pot after they successfully remained undetected as deceitfuls on the BBC game show - penned: "We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beautiful wee mummy.

"We kindly ask for privacy as our family grieves during this difficult time."

Anne is survived by her sons, Darren Mullen - the manager of Newry City Athletic Football Club - Neil and Shane, and her daughters, Rachel and Joanne.

During The Traitors series four final on January 23, head of communications Rachel, 42, explained that she planned to use her prize money to make memories with her three children and Anne.

Rachel - the first female Traitor to triumph on the programme - said: "Mummy was just 47 when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's, four years older than I am now, and faces dementia, but still amazes me and my family every single day.

"I just want to create memories with her while I'm still lucky enough to have her, and to create memories with my kids, because they just love their nanny."

Series four of The Traitors was filmed in May 2025, and Rachel recently shared that Anne's health worsened in the months that led up to when the game show aired on January 1, 2026.

Rachel - who hails from Newry, Northern Ireland - told the Mail on Sunday: "It's a hard one because the show was recorded in May, so at that time her condition wasn't as severe as it is now, so she's not fit to travel as much.

"We're trying to do something closer to home, so I can't wait to just sit in front of her and say, 'Mummy, what do you want to do, what can we do that you would just love?'

"God only knows what she's going to say, but I can't wait."

Anne - who was a big fan of The Traitors - drove her daughter to victory, and told Rachel to "not to get caught".

And in a sweet photo shared during the programme, Anne proudly held up a t-shirt that had "My daughter's a traitor" emblazoned on the front.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Rachel's dad, Raymond Mullen, died aged 67 in 2016.
