Craig Revel Horwood wants Victoria Beckham to do Strictly Come Dancing
Craig Revel Horwood would love to see Victoria Beckham do Strictly Come Dancing after her son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham said she danced "very inappropriately" and "hijacked" his and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham's first dance.
Craig Revel Horwood wants Victoria Beckham to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing.
The 61-year-old judge on the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance show would love to see the 51-year-old model on the dance floor, after Victoria's son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, singled her out for "hijacking" his and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham's first dance.
Craig told The Sun newspaper: "She’d be amazing."
In a fiery Instagram statement on January 19, Brooklyn, 26, said Victoria danced "very inappropriately" in front of his and Nicola's 500 wedding guests, which Brooklyn described as the most "uncomfortable" and "humiliating" moment of his life.
But DJ Fat Tony, 60, who played at the party, explained what really happened when Victoria danced with her son, revealing the groom was asked to put his hands on his mother's hips as Brooklyn's 31-year-old bride fled the room in tears.
During an appearance on ITV's This Morning on January 23, Fat Tony explained: "There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions.
"The word inappropriate - why I said it was inappropriate as well, because it was the timing."
He then revealed singer Marc Anthony, 57, started the drama by calling Brooklyn onto the stage during his performance and asking Victoria to join him - referring to her as "the most beautiful woman in the room" - leaving Nicola in floods of tears.
Fat Tony explained: "What happened was - basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage.
"Everyone is expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asks the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage, then he said: 'Victoria, come to the stage'.
"At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola leaves the room, crying her eyes out.
"Marc says: 'Put your hands on your mother's hips!' It was a Latin thing, and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room."
Fat Tony went on to reveal that the dance became the most talked-about moment of the entire wedding as he heard guests discussing it over brunch the following day.
He said: "I DJed the brunch, which was the most awkward part of it all because that's when everything was discussed from the night before."
Fat Tony previously poked fun at the family feud by sharing a meme mocking Victoria's dance with her son.
He posted a video of a character from the TV series Motherland doing an embarrassing dance at a PTA meeting and wrote: "Actual video footage, it's true I was there!"
In his statement, Brooklyn insisted he was blindsided by the moment because he had been expecting to dance with his bride during family friend Marc Anthony's performance.
He wrote: "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance, to a romantic love song.
"In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.
"We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment. (sic)"
