The Apprentice's new spin-off show has axed a fan-favourite feature from its predecessor programme.

Following comic Tom Allen's exit from hosting The Apprentice: You're Fired, the BBC Two series has been revamped, and Angela Scanlon, both 42, is fronting The Apprentice: Unfinished Business.

According to The Sun, the fan-favourite You’re Hired/You’re Fired panel - which saw the studio audience decide whether The Apprentice boss Lord Alan Sugar, 78, was right to boot a candidate or not - has been axed.

And it has been reported that The Apprentice: Unfinished Business will follow a similar format to The Traitors’ Uncloaked spin-off.

It sees 39-year-old comedian Ed Gamble interview the 'murdered' or banished Faithfuls or Traitors in podcast form, recorded for BBC Sounds.

As soon as viewers have had their latest boardroom drama fix from The Apprentice, they will now be able to join the conversation straight away with Angela and a host of industry experts and celebrity fans.

Angela - who took part in The Celebrity Apprentice Children in Need special last year - said: "Having recently gone toe-to-toe with Lord Sugar in the boardroom, I have never understood or loved this iconic show more!

"To be part of The Apprentice as it heads into its 20th year is an absolute treat.

"I can't wait to get suited and booted and sit down with candidates and celeb fans each week to unpack the drama, make sense of the madness, and hopefully walk away with some business advice while I’m at it!"

On January 14, Tom announced that he had quit The Apprentice: You're Fired after he took the role in 2019, via Instagram.

He captioned a video of his introduction to the show - in which he performed a routine with a group of dancers - with: "I have decided, after six years, to say goodbye to The Apprentice: You’re Fired.

"I have had so much fun working with the most incredible creative people to make it all happen. (I was also getting concerned Lord Sugar might realise I know nothing about business - as above video demonstrates). (sic)"

Tom then went on to thank Lord Sugar and his show aides, Baroness Karren Brady, 56, and Tim Campbell, 48, for their support.

Tom continued: "Thank you @lord_sugar @karren_brady_official @timcampbell_mbe for all their support and encouragement at every step and also thank you to each @apprenticeuk candidate and guest panelist who joined me in the studio. (sic)"

Tom then teased that he "shall be embarking on new voyages very soon".

The Apprentice: Unfinished Business will air on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, with audio available on BBC Sounds.
