Katherine Ryan won't be having any more children.

The 42-year-old comedian welcomed her fourth child, a daughter named Holland, with her husband Bobby Kootstra in October and joked that she has finished adding to her brood because "there isn't enough attention to go around any more".

Katherine - who has son Fred, four, and daughter Fenna, three, with Bobby as well as daughter Violet, 16, from a previous relationship - told HELLO! magazine: "The chief reason is that there isn't enough attention to go around any more.

"I think someone would be missing out along the way."

The Canadian comic reconnected with Bobby almost eight years ago after they were previously childhood sweethearts and explained the pair "didn't waste any time" when it came to starting a family together.

Katherine said: "I'd never been in a relationship where I wanted to help a man multiply, but I was like: 'There should be more Bobby.' And we reconnected at 35, so we didn't waste any time.

"We had a one-night stand and were married nine months later. We were always trying until we knew it was enough - and now I think it's enough."

The Duchess star continued: "I embarked upon this plan to have as many children as I could in five years, which was too many.

"I was pregnant six times in five years (she had three miscarriages), and I do think it takes it physical toll.

"I'm very blessed to have the children, but now I think I'm done having them and it would be nice to have some actual recovery."

Ryan recently revealed that she had undergone "serious" cosmetic surgery only eight weeks after giving birth to Holland and explained that it stems from a desire not to give up on "glamour".

The panel show regular said: "It seems as though I'm very vain, but it's not that at all. I love glamour. I believe in it.

"I'm from a toxic generation, so I still aspire to have my face and my body look the way they did before I embarked upon this plan to have as many children as I could in five years.

"The only thing that's going to take me back to 2019 is a facelift."

Katherine added: "What I want for my forties it to be booked and busy.

"I want to deliver a great show, but I also want to be glamorous. I think some of that is about reclaiming control. When your body has been a sacrificial vessel for the past five years... my body has been through a lot."
