Amanda Holden signed Alan Carr up to a dating app during filming in Corfu.

The co-stars and real life friends have been on their travels for Amanda and Alan's Greek Job - the fourth series of their BBC travel show - and the Celebrity Traitors winner admitted Amanda played wing-woman for him while they were away.

He told Woman's Weekly magazine: "I did go on some dates on Corfu, but it's nervous for anyone at my age going dating, and then you've got a camera crew too.

"I didn't get many hits in Corfu, but I did flash up a lot in Albania! [laughs]"

The duo are keen to film in Albania for their fifth series, and Alan joked Amanda could be giving him away if things go well.

He quipped: "Get yourself a fascinator and some hats because you're going to walk me down the aisle in Albania!"

Instead of any dates of her own, Amanda - who is happily married with husband Chris Hughes -ended up bringing home two cats from an animal shelter in Corfu.

She said: "I rescued two cats! I flew them home. I've got one and then somebody else at Global, the radio station I work at, has got the other one."

Alan - who split from ex husband Paul Drayton in 2022 after 13 years together, and three years of marriage - is looking for love, but some people have mistaken his friendship with Amanda as something more.

He admitted: "It happens all the time. We just play along with it."

Amanda quipped: "I probably do spend more time with you than I do with Chris [Hughes]."

Alan recalled a dinner he had with Amanda and her family near Covent Garden, when his friend decided she wanted a photo in front of a giant Christmas tree.

The comedian said: "She was with her family but she gave the phone to Chris, her husband! And me and her were posing and I was like, 'Oh, no, this is so wrong.'

"But Chris has got such a fun sense of humour. He's rolling with laughter."
