Tess Daly and Vernon Kay's daughter Phoebe has moved to New York.

The 21 year old shared a photo of herself enjoying time at a rooftop bar in the Big Apple to her Instagram Stories on Thursday (08.01.26).

However, it appears the relocation from London is temporary, as Phoebe wrote over a view of the Empire State Building and other skyscrapers from the venue: "Home for a while..."

In her Instagram profile bio, Tess' mini-me made reference to her going Stateside, as she typed: "Heyyyy LDN/NYC (sic)."

Phoebe - who has a 16-year-old sister called Amber - has not revealed why she has moved to New York.

Elsewhere on her Instagram account, Phoebe shared a series of photos from Tess' last Strictly Come Dancing final, which took place on December 20, 2025, and was won by 38-year-old former footballer Karen Carney and her 33-year-old professional dance partner, Carlos Gu.

Captioning the photo carousel - which included shots of her with finalists, Love Island alum Amber Davies, 29, and 26-year-old social media personality George Clark - Phoebe wrote: "Wow. What an incredible Strictly Come Dancing final last night.

"The love and joy strictly creates is something magical and I’m so lucky to have seen my mum work with the absolute best people.

"Last night was definitely an emotional one, but most importantly it was a celebration of the show and the 21 years mum has been doing it. (sic)"

She then gushed: "Mum you are a true inspiration to me I will hold all these Strictly memories close to my heart forever. It’s been in my life since the day mum was pregnant with me so I don’t know life without Strictly and for that reason I will forever be the shows number one fan (sic)."

In October 2025, Tess, 56, and her Strictly Come Dancing co-host Claudia Winkleman, 53, announced their departure from the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance show after that year's Christmas Day special - won by TV personality Scarlett Moffatt, 35, and her 33-year-old professional dance partner, Vito Coppola.

In a joint statement, Tess and Claudia said: "We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream.

"We were always going to leave together, and now feels like the right time. We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.

"They’re the most brilliant team, and we’ll miss them every day.

"We will cry when we say the last 'keep dancing', but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza."

Sarah James, the executive producer of Strictly Come Dancing, also paid a glowing tribute to the co-hosts.

She said: "Tess and Claudia are quite simply the best duo of presenters in the business, and we are so lucky to have had them as our Strictly anchors for so many years.

"They have championed countless celebrities on the dance floor, led us all through two series during the pandemic, but more importantly, they have a deep and genuine bond with the show and every single member of the team.

"The Strictly Family is often referred to, and these women are the matriarchs of that family."
