Dani Dyer has said Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins was the “hardest experience” of her life.

The former Love Island star, 29, is amongst the famous faces to have signed up for Channel 4’s brutal military-style reality programme, and Dani has now admitted Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is one of the “hardest things” she has ever had to go through.

Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram Stories, she said: “SAS is obviously on tonight at nine o'clock.

“This is one show I’ve been absolutely really excited for you all to see, but also petrified because it was one of the hardest experiences of my entire life.”

Even so, Dani - who is the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, 48 - insisted she would appear on the show again if she was given the opportunity.

She added: “I'd love to do it again, this is one of those things I'd love to do again and be a lot more headstrong, and a lot more ... not a wimp.

“But do you know what? It was great and, yeah, I hope you all enjoy it.”

In the opening episode, celebrity recruits face off in a boxing match, with Dani competing against Married At First Sight Australia star Jessika Power.

Despite wearing protective headgear, Dani is punched in the face, and Jessika is declared the winner by chief instructor Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham.

Dani recently admitted she and her fellow Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins co-stars had “lost all dignity on day one” after using the “horrendous” toilets.

She said: “The toilet situation was horrendous. We lost all dignity on day one. It was open toilets, 50-degree heat, it smelled awful.

“We were pooing on poo, putting sand on top. Washing armpits in sinks.

“Showers were pointless because you’d get dunked in mud. My toenail came off. My feet were covered in blisters.”

Dani - who had to drop out of the recent series of Strictly Come Dancing after suffering an injury - was inspired to sign up for the endurance show by fellow former Love Island star Georgia Harrison, 31, who was the joint winner in 2023.

Asked why she chose to take part, she said: “You know what, I’ve always been a massive fan of the show and I remember watching a series that Georgia Harrison had done thinking that I really feel like I want to do it.

“And so when the opportunity came around, I just couldn’t say no. These sorts of opportunities don’t really come around often so I just thought, let’s have a go, let’s see if I can actually do it.”

The latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins also includes social media stars Jack Joseph and Cole Anderson-James, Neighbours actors Ryan Moloney and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and World Cup-winning England rugby star Ben Cohen.

Gladiator and Olympian Toby Olubi, cricketers Graeme Swann and Brad Hodge, Olympic swimmers Emily Seebohm and Mack Horton and Home and Away actor Axle Whitehead round out the line-up.
