Nick Knowles hit back at a fat shamer on X after she attacked his appearance following the BBC's DIY SOS Children in Need special, which aired on November 13, saying he "ate Pudsey".
Nick Knowles has blasted a fat shamer after she attacked his appearance following the BBC's DIY SOS Children in Need special.
In the November 13 episode, the 63-year-old TV host and his team spent 12 days refurbishing facilities for children's cancer support charity, The Joshua Tree, Cheshire, and an image of the show's stars in their purple high vis jackets was shared on X.
And on November 15, the cruel troll - whose profile bio states she is a "registered nurse" and a volunteer for the mental health charity, Mind - commented on the social media post.
She wrote: "Nick Knowles ate Pudsey!" A reference to the teddy bear mascot of BBC's Children in Need.
Nick hit back at the individual, saying: "Are you referring to me being heavy?
"Is that what you took from that show about building a place for a children's cancer charity?
"And you're a nurse. Or have I misunderstood?"
Nick also revealed he reported the individual to her employer after she was caught trolling his 34-year-old wife Katie Dadzie when she underwent a hysterectomy in July following years of "pain".
The TV star wrote: "I know you - you were trolling my wife when she was ill, and we reported you to your employer.
"Now you've watched a show about building a place for a children's cancer charity and decided to go for me being heavy.
"Do you think maybe you should get some counselling about this obsession?"
And Nick's fans were shocked by the remark made by the "registered nurse".
One person commented: "I'm sure you thought this was funny but trying to body shame anyone is in very poor taste.
"I had the pleasure of meeting Nick many years ago when he filmed city hospital.
"He is a genuinely decent bloke who actually has a huge amount of respect for nurses.
"Shame on you. (sic)"
A second X user penned: "What an unkind and unnecessary comment to make.
"And to think you volunteer for @MindCharity."
And a third person wrote: "You are disgusting! Very shallow for a Nurse ??? (sic)"
After many of Nick's fans jumped to his defence, he later called on his supporters to "let the matter lie".
He wrote on X: "OK look - I really appreciate the support regarding the trolling of my wife and I but can we please keep responses civil ...
"After some thought I genuinely think there may be a mental health element at play here so please let’s let the matter lie Thank you. (sic)"
Katie and Nick - who began dating in 2021, and in June 2025, they got married during a lavish wedding at Braxted Park in Essex - have been subject to trolling because of their age difference.
