Dani Dyer reveals devastating secret miscarriage
Love Island star Dani Dyer shared she had a miscarriage before she and her ex-partner Sammy Kimmence welcomed their son Santiago 'Santi' into the world in 2021.
Dani Dyer suffered a miscarriage before she fell pregnant with her son Santiago.
The 29-year-old TV personality lost the baby with her ex-partner, stockbroker Sammy Kimmence - whom she was in a relationship with from 2018 until 2021, when he was sentenced to three years in jail for defrauding two pensioners over £30,000 in July that year - before the birth of her eldest child, Santiago 'Santi', in January that year.
And Dani said the heartbreaking experience caused anxiety when she was expecting Santi.
The emotional star told TV personality Jamie Laing, 36, on the latest episode of his Great Company podcast: "It was a very early miscarriage.
"When I got pregnant again, I don't know how many scans I had. I was up there all the time. I was literally knocking at the door like, 'Can you check again? Can you check again?'
"And they're like, 'Dani, come on.' I had a portfolio of Santi, honestly, he wasn't even born, and he's got a whole [portfolio]. Literally, I just thought I need to see him one more time."
The Love Island star - who dated Sammy before her appearance on the ITV2 programme - did not plan to have Santi, but falling pregnant and the miscarriage made her want to become a mum.
After Jamie asked Dani: "Did you plan Santi?" She replied: "No, because just before Santi, I got pregnant and then that didn't work out.
"But then I wanted a baby, then because that didn't work out, because I was like, 'Well, I want a baby. So this month, I'm going to be not careful,' do you know what I mean, because it didn't work out."
Dani - who entered a relationship with Sammy after she split from her 2018 Love Island ex-partner Jack Fincham for a second time in April 2019 - gave birth to her son Santiago in January 2021.
She has been in a relationship with West Ham United player Jarrod Bowen, 28, since 2021, and they got married in a lavish, intimate outdoor ceremony at The Langley Hotel, Iver, Buckinghamshire, in May.
The couple have two-year-old twin daughters, Summer and Star, together.
And Dani thinks pregnancy is terrifying.
She explained to Jamie: "Pregnancy is so scary because you're growing a baby, like it's a miracle in a sense, isn't it? Like looking after them and making sure you're doing the right things and don't eat this, don't eat that."
