Amber Davies' actor boyfriend Ben Joyce isn't worried by gossip about the Strictly Come Dancing curse.

The former Love Island star is among the contestants on the new series of the BBC talent show and she's been hit by speculation suggesting she's been growing close to her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, but Amber, 29, is adamant she won't fall victim to the so-called curse, which has led to contestants' relationships crumbling due to the stresses of the show and their tight relationships with their dance partners.

Amber also insisted her boyfriend - West End actor Ben - isn't worried either, telling The Sun newspaper: "The only good thing is Ben is not a****.

"So I feel like I can brush it off as it is not affecting us in any way which is nice. I mean he is horizontal Ben."

Amber added she's also close to Nikita’s girlfriend Lauren as they text each other "all day, every day" and she went on to insist Ben doesn't worry about her friendship with the dancer because he's seen his partner "fall in love on stage" many times during her performing career.

She explained: "I think because he has literally watched me fall in love on stage multiple times in different shows. I do understand from someone who is not experienced to assume, but no."

Amber and Ben have been dating since they met working on the West End stage adaptation of Back To The Future in 2022.

The reality star had been flying high in Strictly but she had a nasty shock over the weekend when she found herself in the bottom two alongside Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Amber ultimately beat the 53-year-old former professional footballer in the dance off after failing to win over viewers in the public vote.

Despite feeling relieved to live another week in the BBC's Latin and Ballroom dance competition, Amber shared her true feelings following Jimmy's exit during Sunday (26.10.25) night's results show on Instagram - saying she felt like "absolute garbage".

Dressed in pyjamas whilst holding a framed photo of her and Nikita performing on the show, Amber lip synched to a clip that admitted: "I woke up this morning, and I felt like absolute garbage, for anyone who wants to know what garbage is, that is French for trash."

The Love Island star further explained her feelings in the video's caption.

Amber wrote: "A gut wrenching evening in the dance off, especially dancing against two of the most amazing people I’ve met on this experience, @official_jfhasselbaink and @laurenmayoakley - I feel extremely lucky and thankful to be able to experience Halloween week on strictly, but there will be two very special people missed.

"If you voted for us really really thank you, I guess this week we aim for a come back week?! @nikita__kuzmin thank you for holding my extremely shaky hands extra tight (sic)."
