Tommy Fury's BBC Three documentary is set to return for a second series.
The corporation is keen for a second run of Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury after the early episodes of season one received strong viewing figures of 1.4 million.
A considerable chunk of those watching the show were younger, fulfilling BBC Three's remit to attract viewers from the age group.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Not only are they good ratings in terms of size, but also in terms of the demographic involved because BBC Three is aimed at younger viewers.
"With his partner Molly-Mae Hague also releasing her own documentary around the same time, it was always going to be interesting to see how one fared against the other.
"And Tommy has emerged looking pretty triumphant – and that's before the second half of season one has even aired."
The second series will also follow the latest steps in the 26-year-old star's boxing career as he remains undefeated in the ring.
The source said: "As for his boxing, he remains undefeated there too, so as he eyes up a second series he'll be looking at who his next opponent will be.
"There is clearly an appetite to follow that journey too."
Tommy's partner Molly-Mae released the second series of her Prime Video show Behind It All last week and revealed that things are "not perfect" between the pair following their temporary split last year as she was not yet wearing her engagement ring again.
The former Love Island star – who has daughter Bambi, two, with Tommy – said in the show: "I'm not putting my ring back on yet, just because I just don't feel quite ready.
"And also, I would like him to make a bit of a gesture. Not ask me again. That's a lot, but a nice dinner or something, just to have that moment of, 'OK, I'll wear my ring again.'
"We're still figuring it out. We're back together, yes, but it's not perfect. It's a new chapter for me and Tommy."
Tommy explained that his drinking had put his relationship with Molly-Mae under strain and she admits that there are things that continue to "trigger" her.
She said: "It's just this shadow of the past that will always just – it sounds really deep – but it will come back and haunt us.
"I hear the word alcohol and I'm tense, I'm shaking, I'm really anxious."
