Chizzy Akudolu quit Loose Women amid fears her unpopular opinions would spill out of her mouth.

The 52-year-old actress was a guest panellist on the ITV lunchtime talk show from 2018 until 2019, and Chizzy does not want to return to the programme because the star feels she did enough of it.

Asked why she left Loose Women, Chizzy exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the 2025 Best Heroes Awards, sponsored by DFS: "It’s live. I’ve got a loose mouth, and I know it’s called Loose Women, but sometimes I can be a little bit too loose.

"[The show's producers] didn’t get rid of me. It was one of those mutual parties of the waves. And I did enough. I did it for about a year and a half. So I was on to other things.

"Sometimes my opinion shouldn’t be shared. I’ve got some opinions on things that I should keep to myself."

Chizzy's time on Loose Women came off the back of doing BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.

She said: "That was a good thing that came out of Strictly."

The star and her 45-year-old professional dance partner Pasha Kovalev were the first couple to get the boot from the Latin and Ballroom dance competition's main series.

In 2019, Chizzy returned to Strictly Come Dancing for the Christmas special, in which she was paired up with her professional dancer Graziano Di Prima, 31.

And the actress loved doing both versions of the show.

She said: "I loved it. It was amazing."

Chizzy's highlight was doing the splits on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special - which was won by 66-year-old performer Debbie McGee, who also did the main series in 2017, and her 43-year-old professional dance partner Kevin Clifton.

She shared: "Going back for Christmas and dancing with Graziano. And we did the Cha Cha Cha, and I got to do the splits.

"I felt like I redeemed myself because we were saving the splits for the week after [on the 2017 series], but then I got eliminated.

"But it tells me to never save anything. Do everything you want to do, like wear the dress, wear the shoes, don’t save anything. Just do it there and then."
