Amber Davies is replacing Dani Dyer on Strictly Come Dancing.
The actress, 28, was announced as a late addition to this year’s BBC show on Friday (26.09.25) after Dani, 29, was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Amber will make her dancing debut in the first live show of the 2025 series on Saturday (27.09.25) performing with her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin, 27.
She first came to prominence when she won Love Island in 2017 alongside Kem Cetinay.
Speaking about joining Strictly, Amber said: “This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true.
“I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.” Since winning Love Island, Amber has built a professional stage career with lead roles in productions including Pretty Woman, 9 to 5: The Musical and The Great Gatsby.
She also fronted the television documentary Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5, in which she travelled to Nashville to interview Dolly Parton.
She presents her own podcast, Call To Stage, and has appeared in the CBBC drama Almost Never. In 2021, she competed in the sixteenth series of Dancing on Ice.
Amber will now line up on Strictly alongside Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Alex Kingston, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, La Voix, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Goldstein, Thomas Skinner, Vicky Pattison, Stefan Dennis, Ross King, Karen Carney and Lewis Cope.
Dani, who won Love Island in 2018, had been scheduled to compete with Nikita before suffering an ankle break during rehearsals.
The television personality said in a statement she had “landed funny” in a fall and was advised by doctors not to continue.
Dani said she was “beyond heartbroken” to be pulling out of the series.
She made her only appearance on the programme during the pre-recorded launch episode, which was broadcast on Saturday, 20 September.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday (27.09.25) at 6.55pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
