Strictly pro Dianne Buswell claps back at troll criticising her for doing show while pregnant
Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Dianne Buswell has hit back at a troll who has said they feel "uncomfortable" about her doing the show while pregnant.

Dianne Buswell has hit back at a troll who criticised her for taking part in Strictly Come Dancing while pregnant.
The 36-year-old star and her 34-year-old boyfriend, YouTuber Joe Sugg, took to Instagram on September 14 to announce that they are expecting a baby boy, but she did not reveal how advanced her pregnancy is.
And on September 20, during the Strictly Come Dancing launch show, it was revealed that professional dancer Dianne is paired with Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis, 66, on the hit BBC Latin and ballroom dance programme - meaning she could potentially be on the show until its finale on December 20.
Now, two days before the first live show of the series on Saturday (27.09.25) night, one viewer has already commented how "uncomfortable" they feel about the professional dancer taking part in the show, whilst expecting.
Dianne screenshotted the comment and posted it on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (24.09.25).
The troll wrote: "I don't want to see her dance being pregnant, it's already feeling uncomfortable, and she's only starting to show.
"It's really not appropriate."
Dianne did not hold back in shutting down the troll.
Writing over the screenshotted comment from the troll, Dianne penned: "I can't believe in 2025 things like this are still being said."
And one of Dianne's fans jumped to her defence on their Instagram Story.
Writing over a repost of the professional dancer's Instagram Story, they said: "Saw @diannebuswell's story and just had to say something.
"Her dancing pregnant in Strictly this year is nothing short of beautiful and magical.
"Women's bodies are INCREDIBLE and I don't actually think some people realise that.
"This will show all of those people who believe this weird, twisted notion that women should hide away when they're carrying a baby that women are capable of so much more and can do anything. (sic)"
The fan continued: "You're inspirational and incredible.
"We as a family cannot wait to watch you doing what you love and were born to do again every weekend.
"And we will be cheering you on as always beautiful (sic)."
Earlier this week, it was reported that Strictly Come Dancing's producers have plans in place for a replacement professional dancer if Dianne has to quit the competition due to her pregnancy.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone at Strictly is absolutely thrilled by Dianne and Joe’s news, particularly as they met and were seen falling in love during the course of the show in 2018.
"This is being thought of as the first Strictly baby because never before has a professional knowingly been pregnant while dancing on the contest.
"Producers have plans in place, and there are several pros who could easily step in and take over at a moment’s notice, because the show must go on.
"On Saturday night’s show, her bump was already very noticeable, though it certainly didn’t seem to hold her back physically, most notably when she was lifted high on the shoulders of fellow pro Kai Widdrington as she held up the Glitterball.
"The BBC’s primary concern is the health and wellbeing of Dianne, and they fully intend to support her through the process with regular check-ins from the welfare team."
However, the corporation did not comment on the claim.
A spokesman for the BBC told the publication: "We do not comment on personal medical matters."
