Love Island's Faye Winter recalls 'wake-up experience'
TV star Faye Winter has opened up about her 2021 controversy.

Faye Winter's Love Island experience served as a "massive wake-up call".
The 30-year-old beauty - who starred on the hit TV show back in 2021 - admits that her heated argument with then-boyfriend Teddy Soares has changed the course of her life.
Faye - whose argument prompted thousands of complaints to Ofcom - told The Sun newspaper: "I would love to do more TV now. But also I needed for my own sanity, to take that little bit of a step back.
"I think that it was really damaging too, because although that was the person I put out - I could never say that it’s anyone’s fault with the person that I was on Love Island - it wasn’t really a true reflection of actually who I was ...
"To be honest, Love Island was a massive wake up call for me."
Faye became a target of online abuse after leaving the Love Island villa. However, she's also learned some important life lessons because of the show.
She said: "I don't think I would have seen my faults.
"I wouldn't have been able to hold myself accountable for the way that I'd acted.
"The way that I could go from nought to 60 real quick and the fact that I would look at that now and to be able to see myself in that position, I would be like, 'Faye, actually, you're really upset, cry! Let your emotions out. You don't need to bottle that up. You've every right to be upset with what you saw.'"
Faye also revealed that she "was in a lot of therapy after the show".
She shared: "There was a difficult time for probably 12, 18 months after the show where I really didn't feel as though I fit in.
"I came out of the show automatically, you know, you get aligned with your management companies and they do push you in a certain direction.
"Obviously, I was in a relationship. I was away from my friends and my family. I was two and a half hours away (from Devon).
"I was doing work that didn't align with me. I really lost myself. I didn't like myself. I didn't really know who I was.
