The 36-year-old Strictly Come Dancing professional and 34-year-old YouTuber – who met on the BBC series in 2018 – took to social media on Sunday (14.09.25) to announce the news that they will become parents.

In a pregnancy reveal video on Instagram set to Elton John's song Tiny Dancer, Dianne and Joe set up an easel and pretended to paint a picture with playful dramatics.

The pair then picked up the canvas that revealed a drawing of two stick men – one with Dianne's distinctive red hair – holding hands with a baby.

The couple confirmed that their first child is due next year and even revealed that they are expecting a son.

Joe captioned the video: "Our little baby boy we cannot wait to meet you."

The duo were congratulated in the comments from their fellow Strictly Come Dancing stars.

Stacey Dooley – who won Strictly in 2018 – commented: "YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES."

Italian professional Vito Coppola added: "THIS IS BELISSIMOOOOO... Cannot wait to meet him and I promise to be the best crazy Italian uncle. Congratulations guuuuuuys I am so soooo happy for you."

Dianne's friend and fellow dancer Amy Dowden wrote: "Still screaming, dancing and celebrating! So so happy for you both! Magical auntie Ames can't wait xxxx."

Buswell – who won Strictly's Glitterball Trophy with comedian Chris McCausland in 2024 – revealed earlier this year that she was desperate to become a mother.

The Australian star told The Sun newspaper: "I would like to have children, 100 per cent. Joe and I love kids, and that's definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven't really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen."

Dianne acknowledged that juggling parenthood with her dancing career would be "demanding" but feels it is something that she and Joe are excited to contend with.

She said: "My job is quite demanding and I love it so much. It is a tough one to balance out and think about.

"It would take a lot of thought, but eventually one day we'll get there, but there is lots happening at the moment. It will happen when it's supposed to."
