Dani Dyer has insisted Jarrod Bowen doesn't have to worry about the infamous Strictly Come Dancing curse because they are "very much in love".

The former Love Island winner tied the knot with the footballer in May shortly before she was announced as a participant on the new series of the BBC talent show, but Dani is adamant they won't fall victim to the so-called curse, which has led to contestants' relationships crumbling due to the stresses of the show and closeness to their dance partners.

According to The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column, Dani said: "I’m newly married, like we literally got married in May! So we’re very much in love. Yeah, he can chill."

Dani went on to reveal her whole family has been supportive of her decision to take part in the show, including her actor dad Danny Dyer.

However, Dani is convinced many fans thought her dad was the one joining Strictly after her announcement was made on the radio.

She explained: "When they said Dani Dyer’s doing it, because it was announced on the radio, a lot of people probably thought it was the other Danny Dyer."

Although EastEnders star Danny isn't heading to the dancefloor, Dani would love to see him sign up for another reality show - I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

She added: "Actually, I would like to see him in the jungle, but he says he never would go in the jungle. He was like: 'Dan, I’d be bored’. He’d be snoring everyone to death."

Dani previously revealed Danny will be coming to see her perform on the first Strictly live show and she's convinced he's going to cry.

She told the Mail On Sunday newspaper: "He’s coming to the first live show. He gets really emotional about things. He will probably cry.

"He's just so proud. He's a proper girl dad. He really is. He's like: ‘Just go and enjoy it and smash it. He's really excited for me.

"I said to him: ‘Do you want to come?’ and he said: ‘Absolutely. I will come whenever I can'."

She added of her stint in the show: "I knew I was going to have a great time, but I just feel like it is even better than I could even imagine. It's dance, it's fun.

"Today I was watching all the professionals. I get home and I'm just so excited.
