Drea de Matteo strips off for bold protest against ‘chemtrails’
The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo has caused a stir by posing nude in a dramatic photoshoot to draw attention to her campaign against so-called “chemtrails.”
The actress, 53, shared her first full nude images on OnlyFans, covering herself in body paint. Her chest was painted with an American flag and a bald eagle, while the words “Stop geoengineering” ran down her leg.
Geoengineering refers to large-scale interventions in the Earth’s climate, such as spraying particles into the atmosphere to reflect sunlight. Conspiracy theorists often use the term “chemtrails” to claim that ordinary vapour trails left by planes are actually chemicals being secretly released into the sky for the purposes of population control.
Drea insisted she is not denying climate change but wants what she calls “democratic oversight.” She argued that people can choose what food they eat or what medicines they take, but they cannot vote on “what is sprayed in the skies” or “what goes into the water or soil.”
Officials and scientists, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, have repeatedly dismissed the chemtrails theory. They maintain that contrails are simply frozen water vapour produced by aircraft engines, not evidence of secret spraying programmes.
