PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) will be left bloodied and unconscious after a vicious attack in a dramatic week of episodes on 'Coronation Street'.

PC Craig Tinker will be left bloodied and unconscious on the cobbles after a vicious attack in 'Coronation Street'.
A shock new promo for the ITV soap sees the police officer – played by Colson Smith – motionless on the ground as his head is cradled by Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) ahead of his departure from Weatherfield after 14 years.
As DS Lisa Swain's (Vicky Myers) emotional voiceover questions 'If we knew today was our last day on earth, what would we do differently", does it signal the end of the thin blue line for PC Tinker?
A special week of episodes, commencing on Monday 19th May, will follow the stories of both Craig and DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and will uncover the truth about Mick Michaelis' (Joe Layton) hold on Kit as his past comes back to haunt him, leaving his friends and family in serious danger.
The week begins with Craig excited to begin his placement shadowing Kit in CID. But while Kit has his own agenda to take care of, a series of climactic events unfold on the street, culminating in a horrific incident.
With Craig's life hanging in the balance, viewers will see him fighting for every breath.
As history catches up with Kit, will the detective's future be destined to haunt him forever along with his past?
And as DS Swain chillingly reminds viewers, "There isn't always more time."
Colson said: "I can't wait for people to see Craig's final scenes. It is exactly the exit I wanted for him and we are all really proud of what we filmed in those final weeks.
"It was actually great fun. I was walking around covered in fake blood for days and I was chuffed that I got to work with so many brilliant people in this final storyline."
Colson revealed last month that he "will always miss" 'Coronation Street' after confirming that he had filmed his final scenes on the cobbles.
Speaking on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain', the 26-year-old actor said: "I've been gone three weeks now, I'll always feel emotional.
"I will always miss the place. It was my home. It was my family. Those people, they helped me grow up."
However, Colson did express his excitement at having the chance to explore new opportunities away from the soap.
He said: "It's very different having done something for 14 years to now know that you're not doing it anymore, and I'm excited to go out and have some fun.
"I'm excited, it feels like a new chapter of my life starting."
