'Britain's Got Talent' star Chantel Bellew has died.

The 34-year-old dancer - who made it to the quarter final stage of Series 13, which aired on ITV in 2019 - died in hospital just weeks after her birthday.

Her close friend Katy Glover paid tribute to Chantel, describing her as the "life and soul of the party".

Katy - who met Chantel while working on Celebrity Cruises - said: "She was such a whirlwind, the life and soul of the party and such a bundle of life.

"She lived and breathed glamour and showbiz and she was a fantastic tap dancer, she did a number of 'Britain's Got Talent' which she loved, and she kept telling everyone.

"Chantel said she'd had a brilliant time and treated it as another audition because she was so professional, and she was so determined.

"She also taught Anton Du Beke tap as well because tap was her life, she was the best tapper out there.

"She was incredible, one of a kind, sparkly and loving and loyal."

A GoFundMe fundraiser was set up by her friends on Monday (24.03.25) to raise money to give Chantel - who starred in the Paris show of '42nd Street' - the "showbiz farewell she deserves".

Daniel McErlean, the fundraiser's organiser, wrote on her page: "Please Help Us Celebrate the Life of Chantel and give her the send-off she deserves.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Chantel, as we navigate through this incredibly difficult time, we want to honour her life and the beautiful impact she had on everyone who knew her.

"Chantel was more than a daughter, wife, sister, niece, cousin and friend.

"She was a kind, loving, and passionate spirit who brought joy and laughter to so many.

"Chantel was a talent second to none who was the life and soul of every party, I am sure you will agree she was a character that nobody will ever forget.

"As Chantel´s friends, we would like to help the family give Chantel the showbiz farewell she deserves.

"Unfortunately, the costs associated with her funeral are significant and, during this emotional time, we’re turning to our community for support.

"We are kindly asking for donations to help cover the funeral expenses, memorial services, and other related costs.

"All remaining funds will then be donated to www.mind.org.uk to provide support to others that might be suffering with mental health.

"Your donation will go directly towards honouring Chantel’s life in a way that reflects the love and legacy she leaves behind.

"Whether it’s a small contribution or a larger gift, every bit helps, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

"If you’re unable to contribute financially at this time, we completely understand and would appreciate any prayers, kind thoughts, and shared memories of Chantel that you may have. Your love and support mean the world to us.

"Please consider donating and sharing this with others who may want to help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us during this challenging time.

"Thank you! (sic)"

Chantel's 'Britain's Got Talent' audition was a memorable one as she left hosts Ant and Dec laughing when her costume was ripped off by two male dancers to reveal a Union Jack bodysuit.

Chantel lived in Widnes, Cheshire, before her passing and had been teaching dance and singing in recent years.
