Taylor Swift has praised Sabrina Carpenter's "extraordinary" new album 'Short n' Sweet'.

The music megastar has taken to social media to celebrate the release of Sabrina's new record – which features hits including 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please' – on Friday (23.08.24) and urged her millions of followers to go and buy the album.

In her Instagram story, Swift praised the album, writing: "Short. Sweet. Has made an extraordinary album. Go support our girl!!!"

This show of support comes after Sabrina opened for the 'Blank Space' hitmaker at a number of shows in both Latin America and Asia during Taylor's Eras Tour.

Throughout the tour, the two pop stars were frequently seen together - most memorably when Swift brought Carpenter on stage for a duet of 'White Horse' from her ‘Fearless’ and 'Coney Island' from Swift's record ‘Evermore’ in Sydney in February.

The pair were also spotted enjoying a day out with Taylor's boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, at a zoo in the Australian city.

Sabrina revealed earlier this month that she considers Taylor to be one of her "best, best friends".

The 25-year-old singer told Variety: "Taylor is a rock star! She’s just such a gangster with all of it.

"No matter what people are saying, everything that I’ve ever seen her tackle, she’s done so with grace.

"The posts about me having to ‘ask for her permission’ - no. She’s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend."

Swift’s endorsement is likely to give Carpenter’s latest release a significant boost, with fans are eager to dive into what ‘Short n’ Sweet’ has to offer after the former Disney Channel star's hits have provided the soundtrack to the summer.
