I love doing the simple things in life, says Shay Mitchell
Shay Mitchell has revealed how she copes with stress in her daily life.
Shay Mitchell finds pleasure in all the "simple tasks".
The 36-year-old actress - who has daughters Atlas, three, and Rome, 15 months, with Matte Babel - deals with stress on a daily basis, but over time, she's found effective ways of dealing with it.
Shay told E! News: "When I'm stressed out, I think everyone can pick up on it.
"I don't want my kids to feel stressed out. We should be grateful we have dishes to be washing instead of being annoyed.
"I always teach them that they have options to make your lunch and to be grateful you have these options to choose from. We pack our lunch box and bag for school.
"I think finding the enjoyment in all of the simple tasks is what's going to make life a lot more enjoyable. No matter what it is that you're doing."
Shay is determined to teach her eldest daughter some practical life lessons.
The actress said: "We make her lunch box together. I like to include her in as many experiences as possible, like getting herself ready, picking her things, packing her bag, all of that."
Meanwhile, Shay previously admitted that having a second child has transformed her life.
The TV star confessed to being surprised by just how much her life has changed since she gave birth to Rome.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Shay explained: "People used to tell me going from zero to one was nothing compared to going from one to two, and that could not be truer.
"Now I look back and I'm like, how did having one kid seem difficult for me?"
Despite this, Shay has actually relished the experience.
The actress loves spending time with her daughters and seeing them have fun together.
She said: "That's the best part. It's amazing."
