The 'Pretty Little Liars' star would have her go-to Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara - which retails for just under $10 - with her if she was stranded on a desert island.

Taking part in a "what's in my bag?" video for Vogue, she said: "I have mascara because if I was ever stuck on an island, I would say I would need to have mascara with me."

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old actress recently revealed her travel collection was inspired by her children.

Shay - who has daughters Atlas, four, and Rome, 20 months, with partner Matte Babel - launched her BEIS Kids travel collection last year, and Shay admits that her children influenced the designs.

She told E! News: "When I would be packing for a trip, there were different things that, obviously, my daughter would gravitate towards.

"She wanted different colours. She wanted a smaller size, so it was more appropriate for her to carry.

"Over time, I was like, 'Yeah, that makes sense. We should have rollers that are specific to kids that have certain features that they like.' For example, we have a little whistle that's on our backpacks. She definitely likes that a little too much at home. She's just walking around blowing the whistle!"

Shay previously revealed that she launched BEIS Kids because she saw a "huge gap in the market".

Speaking about her brand, the actress told ELLE: "I’ve always known that there was an entrepreneurial side to me, and I always wanted to get into business, but I had never been to school.

"I’ve had experiences with luggage where wheels would fall off and I’d get angry at myself for not spending more money to get a better bag.

"When I knew it was time to start my own company, I noticed there was a huge gap in the market: you either had super expensive companies with crazy bags that weren’t even functional, and on the other side of the spectrum, you had affordable bags that were ugly and not well-made.

"Basically, I wanted a line of affordable bags that had all the function I could dream up and look really good at the same time."
