Nicole Kidman will star in The Young People.
The Oscar-winning actress has signed up for Osgood Perkins' upcoming horror thriller, joining previously-announced stars including Lola Tung, Nico Parker, Tatiana Maslany and Lily Collins.
The ensemble cast also includes Brendan Hines, Cush Jumbo, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, and Lexi Minetree.
Production is currently underway in Vancouver and while plot details are being kept under wraps, it has been reported the movie centres on a couple of school friends, one of whom begins to develop worrying behaviours.
The Young People is the first project under the first-look deal the director and his production company Phobos have with Neon, and marks their latest collaboration following the success of Longlegs, which was the highest-grossing independent film of the year, and The Monkey. Neon will also release Perkins' next film, Keeper, later this week.
Babygirl actress Nicole is currently in post-production on crime series Scarpetta.
She has also been kept busy with Practical Magic 2, on which she was delighted to work with Sandra Bullock as her on-screen sister again.
She told People magazine: "[Our dynamic is] insane. I can tease her, and she teases me.
"We're both living in London, very close to each other...
"I adore her and she is so funny and so lovable. And we're just having the best time together."
The 58-year-old actress admitted she and Sandra are thrilled to be playing the characters again after a 27-year absence.
She said: "We're both like, 'What?' But we were just right back into it."
The Big Little Lies starpreviously admitted that she's been happy to take "bold risks" in her career.
Asked if Hollywood has become more open to risks, Nicole told Vanity Fair's 2025 Hollywood Issue: "I suppose I don’t think of that. I just go, 'This is the road I’m on, and whatever happens happens'.
"If it’s seen as a risk, I’ll take these risks. And if they’re bold risks, then I’ll take those risks, but I’m not going to hang too much on that because fear can set in. That’s very, very destructive to the expression and the desire."
Nicole subsequently conceded that working in Hollywood can be a "rollercoaster" experience.
The actress explained: "Everything’s hard now. Actually everything.
"I mean, maybe not 'Deadpool', but there’s nothing that’s, 'Oh my gosh. Yep. This is it. Greenlight, let’s go.' Or maybe it’s just the things that I do.
"I just think that’s the nature of what we’re dealing with now. Things are shrinking in terms of shows being done and films being made. I definitely feel it. I’m sure most people in the industry feel it. I know the crews feel it. I know writers feel it."
