Julia Fox urges aspiring models to trust their 'first instinct'
Julia Fox has shared her top tip for aspiring models.
Julia Fox wants young models to trust their "first instinct".
The 36-year-old actress said their opinion is the only thing that matters.
People asked Julia for her advice to aspiring models, to which she replied: "Don't overthink. Just don't overthink. Your first instinct is always the right one. Go with your gut. Don't worry so much about what other people think or if other people are gonna like it.
"If you like it, other people will like it. And that's how trends are formed."
Fashion designer Betsey Johnson, 83, agreed: "That's absolutely it for me. I never asked anybody about what I was doing. If I liked it, I thought, I pray there are other girls that are gonna like it."
Julia added: "And you've got to work your a** off. Work hard. You gotta work really hard. Keep showing up, you know? Put yourself out there, whatever, however that may look like.
"If it's social media, make the video. It's cheesy? It's a little cringe? Who cares? Anyone who's gonna talk bad about you is just jealous that they don't have the same courage that you do."
Seeking approval from men has led the media personality having regret over having plastic surgery.
In August 2025, Julia admitted in a profile for Allure: "It's super important when you become famous or a public figure to be transparent.
"Now, when I see someone and I can tell they've never done anything ... I wish I could go back and be that person. I was so hung up on this idea that I needed to be attractive to men so that I could survive."
The Uncut Gems star has previously had Botox, liposuction, a rhinoplasty and veneers, and Julia has not ruled out having more cosmetic procedures in the future.
She said: "I probably will [get more work done one day], but I'm just not as concerned with it right now."
Julia thinks there is "something to be said" about ageing naturally, but she does fear getting older.
The Him alum admitted: "That's what I think I'm the most scared of, feeling old, and there are times where I feel old…Tired, over it, disillusioned. When you're young and hot, it’s like that's your identity. Then you're like, 'S***, I need to stay young and hot.'"
Julia added: "Am I going to chase the way I used to look, or am I going to evolve and see what's on the other side? It could be something totally different, and I'm choosing to go that way. I just want to see who's there waiting for me.
"It'll definitely be uncomfortable, but I think I'm ready for it."
