Fans have spent the last decade waiting for the 38-year-old singer to follow up on 2016's Anti, but now her 37-year-old partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, has hinted that a new album could finally be on its way.
On the latest episode of The Jason Lee Show, the Praise the Lord (Da Shine) hitmaker shut down rumours that he, their sons RZA, four, and Riot, three, and daughter, Rocki, 10 months, and Rihanna's Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty brands were responsible for the delay to her new music.
Addressing the rumour, Rocky - real name Rakim Mayers - said: "Nah. She in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe.
"Bro, she working. She cooking, no funny s***. Damn, I’mma get in trouble for this."
On July 12, Rihanna stunned fans at Jay‑Z’s Yankee Stadium gig with surprise performances of Run This Town and B**** Better Have My Money.
It marked her first stage appearance since she headlined the Super Bowl halftime show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023.
The New York audience went wild for the surprise appearance amid an already-star-studded set.
However, at one point, the Umbrella hitmaker confessed to the crowd: "Y'all know I'm rusty, right? It's been a while, Y'all with me right now?"
Rihanna's partner, A$AP Rocky, also joined Jay‑Z, performing Fkin’ Problems.
In August 2025, the Diamonds artist paid a heartfelt tribute to her supporters 20 years after releasing her debut album, Music of the Sun.
Rihanna began the lengthy post on her social media channels: “20 years ago, I left my country, my culture, my food, and family to embark on a journey that started with the release of my very first body of music!”
The nine-time Grammy winner shared a montage of career-defining moments. From chart-topping hits to fashion milestones, showing how she has evolved from a chart-topping music star to a billionaire businesswoman with her Fenty fashion and beauty empire.
She continued: “So many of you were a part of my life and career since the very beginning, and some of you have joined the adventure along the way. I’m forever grateful to all of you.
"Each of you played a very crucial role in where this journey has taken me thus far! I just wanted to take this moment to say thank you!”
In honour of her fiercely loyal fanbase, the Navy, she went on: “20 years of the most loyal, die-hard fans that don’t play about me whatsoever.
“20 years of hard work and hardworking teams around me, 20 years of lessons, 20 years of unforgettable experiences and accomplishments, 20 years of my family being my number one support system.”
She also gave a special shoutout to the industry folk who believed in her before it was “cool” to do so.
Rihanna penned: “20 years worth of thanks to you!! I thank God, He’s been very generous to me and the Glory belongs to Him!”
