Perrie Edwards has hinted at more solo shows this year.

The Little Mix star - who recently played her first major gig at Capital Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium - feels her most "content" being onstage and can't wait to get back out there.

She told the Official Charts Company of her live plans: "Yes, definitely. I want to get back on that stage as much as possible.

It's incredible. I've missed being on the stage. I just feel like when I'm up there, I'm so so happy. I feel just so content."

Perrie is close to securing the title for her debut solo album and admitted she has shed many "sad tears" over some of the tear-jerking ballads on the record.

Asked if she has been crying happy tears over her music as her next single is called ‘Tears’, she replied: "I don't know about happy tears. Sad tears over some of my ballads, definitely, but not happy tears."

Asked if she has a title yet, the 'Forget About Us' singer teased: "I think I have it. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps!"

Perrie - who has dropped her surname for her solo career - recently admitted she is "way more confident" without her Little Mix bandmates.

The 'Wings' girl group have been on hiatus since 2022, and Perrie insists branching out on her own has given her a major confidence boost because she doesn't have the girls as a "comfort blanket".

She told Numero Netherlands magazine: "'I'm just way more confident now I suppose, because I don't have people to hide behind.

"I was used to having the girls as my comfort blanket, whereas now I have to step up. I have to push myself out of my comfort zone a lot more than I've ever done before."

Perrie launched her first solo single 'Forget About Us' in April and it will be followed by 'Tears’ on June 21, and she's admitted every song on her upcoming album features very personal lyrics including words about her footballer fiance Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their son Axl.

She added to the publication: "I took inspiration from everywhere in my life. I took inspiration from my relationship with Alex, my son Axel, past friendships, relationships.

"How being in love makes you feel, my anxiety, literally everything that I kind of feel I've been through I've put into a song on the album."
