Normani has announced her new single '1:59' will drop on April 26.
The former Fifth Harmony star recently teased fans that her debut solo album 'Dopamine' is on the way and she has now announced that the project’s first single will feature rapper Gunna and will be out next month.
Normani shared a video on TikTok announcing the single.
In the video, fans can hear a snipped of the song as Normani lip-syncs the lyrics.
She captioned the post: "soo basically my first single 1:59 will be coming out 4/26."
And Normani has promised fans that the new music will be worth the wait.
She told Who What Wear in February: "I know what I’ve been through. For me, this upcoming album is not just about music coming out. It feels like a representation of everything I’ve gone through to get to this moment… I know I needed time, experiences, and space coming out of [Fifth Harmony] in order to become the version of myself I needed to be. Without [all of that], I would not be able to exist within the creative space that I am in now. I would not be able to make the type of music I’m making now."
Fifth Harmony split in 2018 and Normani released her first solo single, 'Motivation' in August 2019.
She went on to release songs including 'Diamonds,' 'Bad to You,' 'Wild Side,' 'Fair,' and 'New to You' but 'Dopamine' will be her debut solo album.
