Nicole Brydon Bloom declares motherhood has made her love ‘bigger’
The Paradise actress has opened up about family life with Justin Theroux and the daily moments she treasures with their baby son.
Nicole Brydon Bloom has revealed how becoming a mother has transformed her capacity for love as she enjoys life in a “great little bubble” with husband Justin Theroux and their baby son.
The 32-year-old welcomed her first child with actor Justin, 55, in April, a little over a year after the Paradise actress and The Leftovers star married in Mexico.
Speaking at the 2026 BAFTA TV Tea Party at The Maybourne in Beverly Hills, Nicole said she was enjoying time at home with their son after spending much of the summer working.
Speaking to People about what had surprised her most since becoming a parent, Nicole added: “I just think your capacity to love grows so much bigger.”
She went on: “I mean, I have a beautiful little niece and nephew who I adore, and I just didn’t think I could love anything more than that. And I don’t love him more, but I love him differently, and waking up with him every morning and getting him out of bed when he starts kicking and smiling is just – it’s the best part of my day.”
Nicole also described motherhood as “wonderful”.
She said: “Our boy is beautiful and funny and so happy and we’re in a great little bubble.”
The couple have chosen not to publicly disclose their son’s name.
They announced his arrival on 18 April with a black-and-white photograph showing Justin holding the baby against his chest.
Justin had spoken about becoming a father five days later during an appearance on Today.
He said: “It’s so much better (than I imagined.) And, of course, I’ve been told by other fathers, ‘Wait ‘til you see this child. You’re gonna fall in love’. And you still always have that little moment of, ‘Is that really going to happen?’ and the minute he appears, your whole life just starts to revolve around this thing, and your heart just opens up in a beautiful way.”
Justin added: “So I’m really happy, really happy.”
Nicole and Justin married at Hotel Esencia in Xpu Há, Mexico, in March 2025, with Nicole wearing a wedding dress designed by Victoria Beckham, while Justin wore Ralph Lauren.
The couple had become engaged during a trip to Italy for the Venice Film Festival in 2024.
Their relationship first attracted attention in 2023, when they were spotted together at a Netflix event.
They made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscars party the following year.
Nicole publicly revealed her pregnancy in December 2025 when she appeared with a baby bump at the Los Angeles premiere of the second season of Fallout.
She later shared photographs from a holiday with Justin and wrote: “So much fun to revisit our favourite place with a little one on the way.”
Nicole’s highest-profile role is as Agent Jane Driscoll in Hulu’s Paradise, the political thriller created by Dan Fogelman, and starring Sterling K Brown.
Nicole joined the drama when it launched in 2025, alongside a cast that has included James Marsden, Sarah Shahi and Julianne Nicholson.
The series received seven nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards and has been renewed for a third season, which is now in production.
Shailene Woodley won the outstanding guest actress in a drama series Emmy for her work on the show.
Nicole previously played Maud Beaton in HBO’s The Gilded Age and appeared in We Were the Lucky Ones, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and the psychological horror film 1BR.
Justin, meanwhile, is known for his role as Kevin Garvey in HBO’s The Leftovers, as well as films including Mulholland Drive and American Psycho.
More recently he has played Cam Gordon in Netflix’s basketball comedy Running Point, alongside Kate Hudson, Brenda Song and Max Greenfield.
