Katy Perry has found her relationship with Justin Trudeau "super healing".

The Teenage Dream hitmaker met the former Canadian Prime Minister last year, months after her nine-year relationship with Orlando Bloom - the father of her six-year-old daughter Daisy - came to an end and she thinks she has finally found "true love".

She told People magazine: “I learned how to step back into my purpose, and I got the greatest gift from this tour: I got to meet the love of my life...

“I got to meet Justin on tour, and then things shifted."

Of Justin being a regular at her concerts, she added: “He knows the words, he’s supportive, and he’s in awe; it’s super healing.

"He is really heart-centered, and I think that we align in that way. I’m so grateful.”

Katy's break-up with Orlando came at a time when she had faced a backlash for taking part in one of Jeff Bezo's Blue Origin space flights, and her 143 album wasn't a hit with critics, and she admitted life wasn't easy.

She said of her daughter: “She’s seeing her mother in her purpose, and that’s good for her; she sees her mom being strong. But also, not every day was easy. Look, last year was really hard.”

The 41-year-old star's lowest point came when news broke of the end of her and Orlando's relationship in July 2025 when she was on tour in July, but by the end of that month she had met Justin and things were looking up.

She reflected: “It was probably the hardest time. My friends were all hanging out back home. I was crying and just feeling far away.

“But then my angels went to work. They really showed up.”

The Firework singer - who was previously married to Russell Brand - doesn't have regrets about her relationship with the Lord of the Rings actor because she learned a lot from their time together.

She said: “I wouldn’t have stayed in something for nine years if there wasn’t really important things to learn. Each relationship is a teacher, right?

“I had to let it go so I could move forward. I always wanted this epic legendary love, and I was talking to my therapist about it: Everything in my life is epic, but this is kind of the missing puzzle piece — then it showed up.”
