Marlon Wayans would love to reboot In Living Color.

The 53-year-old actor starred alongside his siblings, Damon, Kim, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans, in the hit sketch comedy show in the early 90s, and Marlon admits that he'd love to lead a reboot of In Living Color, which was originally written and created by Keenen Ivory.

Asked about the possibility of a reboot, Marlon told Variety: "Maybe my calling is to reboot In Living Color!

"The only people that can do it is us. Some things you don’t need to resuscitate. In Living Color was an institution and I wish it was still around, but it’s hard to execute that level of humour every week for multiple years. And we have to be in it."

Marlon described Keenen Ivory as the "beating heart" of the show, and acknowledged that his exit spelled the end of In Living Color.

However, Marlon is now open to the idea of reviving the show, as he's recently done with the Scary Movie franchise.

He said: "In Living Color died one season after Keenen left because he was the beating heart of that show.

"But if you asked me 15 years ago if we’d be doing Scary Movie again, I’d say, ‘Hell no, the ship has sailed!’ But if God has that in our cards, if ‘Scary Movie’ can happen, then maybe an In Living Color reboot can happen. But it’s not in the cards right now."

Meanwhile, Marlon recently claimed that he's on a mission to "bring back laughter" with Scary Movie 6.

The actor made clear that the new film is about restoring comedy to its former glory.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Marlon said: "What we're trying to do is bring back laughter. This is about bringing back comedy the way it used to be. And I think the only way to do it is you have to cancel the cancel culture."

Marlon described the film as a "rebooquel", picking up 26 years after the original Scary Movie.

The comedy star explained: "This movie is multi-generational. It's a conversation comedically that is needed, that needs to be had from our generation down to Gen Alpha. And it's all inclusive."
