Colton Underwood has clapped back at a troll after they seemingly took issue with his son having two dads.
The 34-year-old TV personality - who has Bishop, 18 months, with his 43-year-old husband, political strategist Jordan C. Brown - wasted no time quizzing an Instagram user about their comment that they felt "bad for that kid".
On Tuesday (26.05.26), Colton uploaded a photo carousel to the social media platform: the first image was an adorable shot of the proud dads with their little one, with the troll's remark posted over it, and the next three slides were The Traitors star's response to the comment.
Colton began his response on the second slide: "Hey Zach - genuinely curious what you meant by this.
"Because if you 'feel bad' for Bishop, I'd love to understand why. He's loved, supported, celebrated, happy, and surrounded by people who show up for him every single day."
The Bachelor alum continued on the third slide: "What a child actually needs protection from isn't a loving family. It's 'adults' who use vague, loaded comments to express disapproval they don't have the courage to say out loud.
"Words like yours, ambiguous enough to deny, pointed enough to wound, are exactly how kids learn that who they are is something to be ashamed of.
"That's the thing worth feeling bad about."
Colton concluded: "Bishop is great. We're great. But thank you for the reminder that this work still matters."
The former professional football player noted in the post's caption that he wrote about comments like Zach's in his new audiobook, DEAR BISHOP: A Letter To My Son.
He wrote: "Comments like this are something I write about a lot in DEAR BISHOP.
"Some days they don’t affect me. Other days, they ruin my day. Most days, they remind me why sharing my life this publicly is worth it…because somewhere there’s a kid, or a man, who might find comfort or something familiar in my story.
"That’s what keeps me living openly."
In September 2024, Colton and Jordan announced Bishop's arrival into the world via a gestational surrogate and using a separate egg donor.
