Tom Hardy as Bane

Tom Hardy took on the alter ego of Bane in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 sequel ‘The Dark Knight Rises'.

During the filming process, Tom said that the hardest scenes to film were the fighting sequences because it felt like he was "beating up my childhood hero".

Tom put on 30 pounds of muscle for the role and had to have his tattoos covered by heavy makeup every-day on set.

Hardy has the distinction of being one of only a few actors to have starred in a DC Comics film and a Marvel franchise due to his starring role in the 'Venom' films.
