Sources told People in August 2022 that the actor split from his partner of five years, Camilla Morrone earlier this summer. It's believed the actor and the model began dating in 2017, when she was 20-year-old. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in 2019 opened up her relationship and defended her age-gap with DiCaprio: "There's so many relationships in Hollywood⁠—and in the history of the world⁠—where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date."
