He wrote Rocky in three days

Stallone saw the Muhammad Ali versus Chuck Wepner fight in 1975 and was inspired to write a film about boxing, focusing on an underdog character.

He went home and wrote ‘Rocky’ in three days and 20 straight hours, the movie launched his Hollywood career and the drama went on to win the Best Picture Oscar in 1977.
