Abbie Hoffman: The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020)

Sacha earned a well-deserved Best Supporting Actor Academy Award nomination by perfectly blending his real-life passion for political activism with his dramatic acting chops.

Playing the iconic, anti-war Yippie leader in Aaron Sorkin's gripping courtroom drama, he brought the perfect mix of theatrical charisma and righteous fury to the screen.

As a protester facing a heavily biased political show trial following the chaotic 1968 Democratic National Convention, he used counter-culture pranks to expose the system, anchoring the movie with the defiant line: "I’ve never been on trial for my thoughts before."
