Introduced in a two-episode arc, the spin-off followed Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Tony (Michael Weatherly), Abby (Pauley Perrette) and Ducky (David McCallum) as the Navy’s crack investigative unit.

Weatherly later reflected on his on-screen partnership with Cote de Pablo, calling their chemistry “rare air.”
