One of the most famous celebrity conspiracy theories claims that Sir Paul McCartney died in a car crash in 1966 and was secretly replaced by a lookalike.

Known as the 'Paul Is Dead' theory, the rumour suggested The Beatles hid clues in their music and album artwork, despite McCartney repeatedly dismissing the claims.
