The House of Gucci star took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of trans woman Rayon in the 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club – but has never seen his performance back.

The 54-year-old actor told The New York Times the following year: "I can't hear that voice! I've never really heard very much of it and I've never watched the film.

"I will (watch it) at some point, I'm sure. But too soon!"

The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman added: "It can never live up to the expectations I would have of it now because it was such a beautiful experience and the response that it got was really wonderful."
