Sam Ryder - UK (2022)

Performing in Turin, Ryder’s Space Man earned an impressive 466 points, finishing second behind Kalush Orchestra, who won for Ukraine with Stefania.

While the UK just missed out on the trophy, Ryder’s result revitalised the country’s Eurovision reputation of nil points - an honorary winner in many fans’ eyes. In a show of solidarity following the war in Ukraine, the UK went on to co-host the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool on Ukraine’s behalf.
