Reflecting in his memoir

In 2017, William released his memoir There I Go Again, where he opened up about his early years as a child performer and the challenges he faced.

He reflected candidly: "My mother was really the ultimate stage mother, and my father did nothing to stop her … In retrospect my parents were right. At least when it came to me."

Despite hardships, he affirmed acting was always his true passion.
