Brie Larson has been playing video games from an early age.

It's no surprise, then, that she's condemned trolls for hating on female gamers and challenged the negative stigma.

Brie - who starred in an advertising campaign for Nintendo - said: "I mean even in my earliest baby videos, I had a Nintendo console. My earliest memories are playing The Little Mermaid, playing Super Mario Bros... All of my Christmas memories are getting the latest consoles like the [Nintendo] DS [My mom, sister and I] were all into games, and this was before social media, so it wasn't like there was this stigma. By the time I was hearing that there was any sort of issue about anybody not being included in the gaming community, I was like 'this is ridiculous.'"
