FKA Twigs’s surprise win

FKA Twigs admitted she hadn’t expected to win Best Dance/Electronic Album for Eusexua.

After receiving her award, Twigs said: “I didn't expect to come up here. I was just so happy to be nominated.”

Twigs - who was nominated for the gong alongside Fred Again, PinkPantheress, Rufus Du Sol and Skrillex - also offered some words of advice to up-and-coming artists.

The singer released her debut EP, which was titled EP1, back in December 2012, and she reminded fans and other artists that her success has been hard-earned.

The Pendulum hitmaker - whose real name is Tahliah Barnett - explained: “I know that to a lot of people, I may be new, but I've actually been doing this a really long time.

“So to any artist, don't give up. Follow your vision. Because that's what's going to make the world fall in love with your art.”
