Joe Alwyn: 2016 - 2023

Taylor and British actor Joe Alwyn began dating in late 2016 and were together for six years, keeping their relationship largely private.

They reportedly split in early 2023 due to “differences in personalities” and the pressures of fame.

Many of Taylor’s Lover, Folklore and Evermore tracks are thought to be inspired by Joe, who also co-wrote several songs under the pseudonym William Bowery.
